Board Of Directors and Officers:

The following is a generalized "this is how it works" view of the Board positions.

Board of Directors:
  • Robbin L. Boston, CDP
  • Kim R. Fischer, CDP
  • Paul Byrum, PMP
  • David M. Chapin, CSM
  • Jillian H. Chapin
  • Byron Thom

The positions of the Chapter Board of Directors are elected annually by the dues-paid chapter members. A ballot is mailed to the members in July listing those who have agreed to stand for chapter offices. It is from this pool of directors that the members of the current year's BOD and the directors-elect for the coming year select the Chapter Officers for the coming year. To be eligible for Chapter Office, a member must first be elected to the BOD for the year in which the office would be filled. To implement this, the chapter members first select the coming year's BOD (July), then the BOD from the current year ant the coming year elect the Officers from the coming year's BOD (August).

Association Director

Also called Chapter Liaison and Regional Director:

Robbin L Boston, CDP

It is the task of the Association Director to provide the liaison point of contact between the chapter and the Region and/or Association organizations. Travel is required as the AD must attend two Region meetings per year and the Association Conference. The AD should be an experienced chapter member familiar with the organizations, politics, and posses an ability to poke, prod, and see that the functions of the chapter continue in a timely fashion. The AD is appointed by the president-elect. When a new member takes over the position of AD, the appointment is for two years. After that, re-appointments are in one-year terms.

President:

Robbin L. Boston, CDP

The Chapter President coordinates the day to day operations of the Chapter, chairing Board Meetings and hosting Dinner meetings. The President is elected by the Board of Directors from the coming year's BOD.

Executive Vice President:

Byron L. Thom

The Chapter Executive Vice President is in line for succession to the position of President, should the President be unable to complete the term to which he or she was elected and to fill in as Chair / Host at any function at which the President can not attend. The Exec VP's primary duty is to be the watchdog of the Chapter, contacting officers and committees to be sure that they have the resources they need and are making progress in the tasks they've undertaken.

Secretary:

David M. Chapin, CSM

It is the duty of the Secretary to record the actions of the Board of Directors and report them to the membership. This is accomplished by publication of the minutes of such meetings in The Random Access. The Secretary also chairs the Chapter Nominations Committee responsible for coercing chapter members to take a risk and run for the BOD each year.

Treasurer:

Kim Fischer, CDP

The Treasurer maintains the chapter funds and sees that bills incurred by activities sanctioned by the BOD get paid. The Treasurer reports on the financial health of the chapter to the membership by publishing the "Treasurer's Report" each month in The Random Access.

Immediate Past President

Kim Fischer, CDP

It is the task of the Immediate Past President to provide continuity in the projects taken on by the Chapter. To argue for resources to complete projects started during his or her term and to provide a Chapter "Memory" as to what the prior year's BOD was trying to accomplish by their actions.

Directors:

Paul Byrum, PMP; and Jillian H. Chapin

The Directors bring the desires of the chapter members to the BOD. Through their actions, the directions and activities of the chapter are set.

The Board of Directors meets monthly the evening of the Thursday following the month's Dinner Meeting. The activities of the BOD are reported to the membership in The Random Access.
