Student Chapters

Student Chapters:

The Evergreen Chapter has a long tradition of supporting students in their efforts to gain the skills necessary to find a position in our industry.

One such effort is our support for the AITP Student Chapter Organization. Student Chapters are comprised of students at an educational institution which provides an Associate Arts or higher degree in an Information Technology discipline.

The Evergreen Chapter has provided a member to act as liaison between ourselves and student chapters at Edmonds Community College in Lynnwood, Everett Community College in Everett, and Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington.

The AITP Student Chapter at Edmonds Community College continues to provide a link between the world of academia and the industry for which they strive. The Computer Information Sciences program at EdCC has a tradition of providing skilled entry and advanced technicians for the businesses of the Puget Sound Basin. This program, with it's links to the businesses of the area, has proven to be highly flexible and capable of adapting to the ever changing skills mix needed in the commercial world.

The Edmonds Community College AITP Student Chapter has a long string of SCOPA (Student Chapter Outstanding Performance Awards) victories demonstrating their ability to function in their community as a team, pursue knowledge outside the walls of the college, and help out in the community.
